These pants, in daylight, are basically black with a nearly invisible dark gray pattern:
But the pattern is reflective!!
I’m easily amused and rarely need to run at night with my current job setup but I wanted to give them a try.
(Update on the rental car saga: the employee tried to convince me that most people lo ve the Versa, I nicely explained that he was delusional, he knocked the bill down by about a third and I was satisfied.)

I actually enjoy running more at night than during the day. I find it somewhat calming. yea, those are some pretty cool pants.

Cool pants!
Did you get hit by the clerk's growing wooden nose, when he tried to feed you that line of BS?

ha - my wife has some of those (or something similar.) Snorted my jack and coke about the delusional comment...

I used to trail run at night with a group and that was an absolute blast. It’s definitely a different experience after dark. My neighborhood probably wasn’t quite as relaxing but between the pants and my headlamp I felt pretty visible so I’m not ruling it out.

Well done on the rental. Doesn’t matter what people may like or don’t like. You pay for one thing and get a lesser thing, you get a refund/reduced bill.

most people love the Versa
That statement is a simple logical fallacy. The Versa is based on Nissan’s V platform. Cars based on thi s platform (Micra/Versa/Tiida/Sentra/Note) are targeted exclusively at people who hate cars but need so me form of transport . Therefore it’s only possible to love the Versa if you’re both a car-hater and a masochist. A niche which certainly exists , but not even in the most depressed worldview are they a majority.

“Unnecessary running.” My definition for all running that isn’t from something trying to eat me.

To me, the majority of running that doesn’t involve being chased by an angry animal or chainsaw-wielding psychopath is more or less unnecessary. But good on you for staying healthy.
And yeah, anyone who claims most people love the Versa should be clinically examined.

M y neighborhood is a 1/3 mile oval so I just stick to that for night runs, especially since I’m by myself. I don't think I'd want to do a trail at night on my own. I used to go mountain biking at night in trails but it's been a while since I've done that. That was always with someone else too

How do you see? Trails can
be ankle breaker enough in the daylight

I have a pretty nuclear headlamp. I’ve done a few 24-hour relays and paced a friend overnight for the Leadville 100 so it doesn’t bug me much now, just gotta pick your feet up!

Wow! Impressed. I work with a guy (in Melbourne, Australia) who’s flying over to do Leadville. He’s a machine, and so are you!
